Jacqueline Lehner
I am Jacqueline Lehner – author, IT technician and mother with a heart for stories that touch, challenge and connect.
My path to writing began with a wish from my daughter: she wanted her own book. So I wrote Tamira Loop and the Secret of the Butterfly Circus – a children's book full of magic, courage and inner strength. What began as a project close to the heart became the start of a literary journey.
My second book, Vegans die differently, is a dystopian social study that deals with ethics, nutrition, and the question of how far control may go. It is a novel that provokes and makes you think, showing that as an author I do not let myself be pinned down to a single genre.
With Because you smiled I have reached a new depth: a literary novel about memory, identity and the power of humanity in a technologised world. It is my most personal work to date and perhaps the most honest.
I studied literature and cultural studies and have been working as an IT technician since 2018. This combination of analytical thinking and creative passion also shapes my books: they are structured, profound and emotional – with an eye for detail and a feel for nuances.
I write for children, teenagers and adults. For everyone who wants to lose themselves in stories and find themselves within them. For everyone who believes that words can create worlds and that imagination knows no age.
„I don't write to provide answers. I write to ask questions that linger.”
